Our Sports Massage Therapists is trained in applying techniques to help athletes avoid injuries, cool down after exertion and enhance their overall performance. Our therapist concentrates on increasing motion and flexibility, relieving muscle soreness and promoting a quick recovery from muscle overuse.

 
 

Laurie Crawford-Smith

Laurie graduated from the Oxford School of Sports Massage in October 2016, with a level 5 Diploma which is certified through the ISRM, Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage. Laurie specialises in sporting injuries and rehabilitation sessions for injured athletes, as well as pre and post match maintenance, and general postural/alignment sessions for the non-injured athletes. Laurie offers more remedial massage techniques, which aim to gett rid of stress and tension build up.

Laurie incorporates the use of many different techniques during a treatment, depending on the needs of the client. Based around deep tissue muscle release, she also includes soft tissue release, myofascial and neuromuscular techniques as well as being able to do postural assessments and give advice on different exercises and stretches to improve ability and maintenance of the body for training or general body stability.  

Decland Wren

Decland qualified as a Graduate Sports Rehabilitator in 2016 after studying at the University of Hull. He is a full member of the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers. Along with his degree, Decland has continued to add to his portfolio by completing his KT1 and KT2 certificates in Kinesiology Taping and also the RFU level 2 immediate care in sport award. 

Decland has previously worked for Preston North End Ladies, Rossendale RUFC, Lincoln City FC and also Birkirkara FC of Malta. He has assisted with Sports Rehabilitation at the Allam World Squash Championships and the Great North Run.
